Urgent - Please Pray for Felito in South Africa .Please call everyone to pray for peace and safety for those in Johannesburg at present.
Hello Family, Friends & Prayer Warriors
My heart is beating faster than my fingers can type. I have spoken to Felito, the situtation in South Africa is not very good at all. It is no longer safe for Felito to be in the township where he is currently staying with his brother, nor go to Palm Ridge where our church is in Johannesburg and we have decided that it is best for him to move from the township for tonight to go and stay in a motel in the city and then tomorrow drive to Mozambique.
The violence is simply nasty and horrible, not even the children are exempt. The black South Africans are not just acting in violence towards those not from South Africa, but also two of the main tribes in Johannesburg are fighting against eachother. The acts of anger, hatred and violence have spread from two townships in Johannesburg to many of the townships around the country like a fire out of control. Felito has said that the army is on standby. Many people have been injured and over 30 people have been killed. The houses surrounding our church in Palm Ridge have been burnt, thus our guards have left, one of them is also from Mozambique and will be travelling back with Felito tomorrow, the other who is not from Johannesburg is also very fearful. Also houses in the township that Felito is staying with his brother have been broken into and roadside stalls have been abandoned.
We ask that you PRAY not only for the people of South Africa, but also for Felito and his brother's family to be safe and protected and to stay in the arms of God during this time and the wisdom on when & where to stop on his return to Maptuo. Please join with me in prayer so that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them (Psalm 34:7). Please lift Felito up to the Lord as he prepares to go and stay the night in the city and also as he travels to Mozambique, that no harm will come to him, that he will arrive safe and well in Maputo.
Thank you.
God Bless
