Updates from Lesley-Anne
About four years ago we were about to do an outreach in the favela. As we began to pray Holy Spirit said to me that God wanted an International Missions school in the favela! I saw that students would come from all over the world to learn from the Holy Spirit among the people here. Little did I realise at the time that I would be doing this myself partnering with Iris Brazil. Lesson learned? Be careful what you prophesy I reckon!
How privileged I was to come and arrive to a new building that has been erected three stories accommodating our cosy community. The students that have come are from Australia, various states in the USA and Brazil.
This could not have been possible without a partnership Iris Brazil with the local Church, "Casade Jesus," led by Pastor Dirceu and with the Holy Given team; Amanda, Susan, Bao, Sylvia, Thiago, Marcia and Cida.
I am absolutely convinced we are in such an amazing time in Missions history as we watch God do what he is expert at doing, saving, healing, delivering, renewing and restoring. We had no doubts how much God loved us even more because of the speakers God sent among us like Paul, Trina from Nova Fribirgo, Ricardo from Belio Horizonte, Cindy, Maryanne and Anita from New Zealand, Heidi from Mozambique, Luiz Schiliro from Brazil and Mel Tari from USA.
God is so wise to have a missions school doing missions. It was an open heaven and all are touched by the love of Christ being expressed through the students and the Church community. Daily we gathered to worship with all of our heats and God meet us in such beautiful ways. Heaven comes on earth, the worship is magnificant, we make sounds with what ever we can pick up! We laugh we dance we cry we kneel, and prostrate oursleves before our beloved Bridegroom King.
Yes we will give our lives away that" the Lamb may receive the reward of his suffering."
Much love in Jesus,
-Lesley-Anne Leighton
