Eglise Reformee De Belleville in Paris, France

Four Days In Paris - Eglise Reformee De Belleville
May 9 - 12, 2009

On May 9, the five of us converged at the Eurostar Station in North Paris. Our leader, Lesley-Anne, Darrel and Marilyn from the US along with Jon and Lydia from England, met our host Pastor Serge of the Belleville Reformed Church of Paris.

Pastor Serge serves an incredibly diverse congregation from nearly 25 nations. One of our greeters, Randy Greer, missionary from Orlando, FL, serves the larger neighborhood community made up of needs from a hundred different nations. All of our group have been to many nations around the earth but never seen such a concentration of people groups in a compact bustling community.

Worship was extraordinary and Holy Spirit flowed while enthusiastic worshippers wholeheartedly sang praises and love songs to Jesus. Lesley-Anne preached, as only she can, with humor and transparency. The power of God fell on the whole congregation and most came forward for prayer. Deep wounds were touched as healing power flowed. People cried out to God to be released from fear, pride and bondage. God lovingly changed hearts and set people free. Lesley-Anne cried, prayed, and hugged people into wholeness backed up by an unusual presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

When prayer time was over, dance and exuberant joyfulness flowed unbounded. Freedom was certainly the key word as God’s children abandoned self-consciousness and became more God conscious. We danced and sang as little children while reveling in His beautiful presence and overwhelming love for each of us. Many were set free in Paris.

Our time in Paris was highlighted by our fellowship with Pastor Serge in his home, Randy Greer, our host families, and a wonderful, hungry for God congregation.
