Holy Given Leyte: Student Testimonies (Irene Abocot Sumiguin-Part 1)

SDC10045

I am Irene Abocot Sumiguin, one of the students in Holy Given school. Here is my testimony. All the glory and honor be brought back to the Holy One. The things that I should be thankful for is that what God has done in my life after our five days’ sessions in the Holy Given school. And I am also thankful for God that He brought His children here to Leyte, Philippines just to impart something which is very different from what we have experienced. The team (Ma’am Lesley-Anne, Ate Wan Hsi, Ate Kylene, Ate Amanda – “ATE” MEANS “OLDER SISTER” ) is a blessing to us, as Filipinos. Our hearts are full of happiness that they are with us, ministering to us for the sake of the expansion of God’s kingdom.

On the first day of our session it was so very great because God brought life again to my spirit and He restored it. God reminded me again that nothing is gonna stop Him from what He is doing. On the first day, (March 16, Monday) I experienced a lot from God. He comforted me very well. And on the second day, I thank God because I experienced Him again. God talked to me through the fresh revelation God had given to Ma’am Lesley that I should be intimate with God. And God wants us to see Him face to face. He reminded me of the idols in my life and spoke to me about changing everything that’s not pleasing to the eyes of God. And God said to me to come to Him always, so while we were on the altar I kept seeking Him, that I may see His face. So I saw a vision with water falls. I was asking God to let His Holy Spirit come. I felt the Holy Spirit manifest during that time and I felt water being poured on me and I was refreshed and rested. I felt the coolness from head to toe. God really moved during that time.

I saw also a vision from God – a gate that was nearly closed. I asked God, “Lord don’t let it be closed, let me enter first because I want to see you.” So I kept on going through. Then I saw at the end of the road a light that was so bright, even the sun cannot be compared to the beauty of its light. Really, it shines! Oh no…I can’t really explain it.

Most of the things that I am also very thankful for are the many visions that I saw. One time I saw a grass or meadow that was very beautiful. The wind was blowing, it was really refreshing, I felt like I would have to rest in that place, what a very beautiful place. I have not seen anything like it in my whole life. God also showed me a crowd of people standing before God, and I saw a book, in it were written words which I couldn’t understand. But God said that it is the Book of Life and that many of the people on earth will die and their names will not be written in the Book of Life. I was amazed for God said to me, “I am calling you, my child.” I cried out loud to God. I saw also a place where there were lots of sunflowers that were planted and they were all beautiful. God said, “You will go to this place to share the Good News.”, and also a place wherein this building has been built [drawing of a building]. I was amazed and thankful. A dove also came down from heaven and a sword of fire. I knew that God was speaking to me through those visions. And the last thing I saw was the Bride waiting for someone. The bride had a very beautiful gown. Its color was very white. That’s so great! Hallelujah to the Lord. And on Friday, while I was worshipping God, I could really feel the presence of God! And I thank God that a lot of changes have taken place in me…the determination and focus of my life, the way my attitude should be…but I know I’m on a process. God is really great and powerful! He strengthened my faith. And God used His people, the team, mightily for us. I, a student of Holy Given School, am really grateful to God because I have received a lot of confirmations that the time will come when I will go on missions. God also changed the mindset that I had…God gave me love, power and sound mind. And lots of different experiences from God everyday were also very, very, very great. He restored me from the dryness or the wilderness that I experienced. I know God is just testing me if I will give up or not.

To God be all the praise and worship for He is good and He opened my eyes to see Him because before I have never experienced it. God used to ask me, “Whom shall I send?” And this time, I responded to Him saying “I will.” I am also looking to God everyday and I want to experience more from God. So thank God that He answered my prayers that I may find Him as always, especially on the altar.

All honor and adoration belong to you, God. You are very, very great in my life. I love you Father.

THANK GOD FOR HOLY GIVEN LEYTE SCHOOL OF MISSIONARIES AND THANK GOD THAT ALL HAVE BEEN CHANGED. THE NEW THINGS CAME AGAIN! :D
